Matting
Animals with matted coats require extra care and attention. They’re more prone to injury and skin damage. Mats in an animals’ coat grow tight, can and will ultimately damage, bruise, irritate and tear the skin, which also provides a breeding ground for infection and parasite infestations. Mats may hide foxtail stickers, injuries or follicle damage, leading to sores, a loss of coat or even permanent bald spots. We will not cause serious or undue stress to your pet by de-matting. After-effects of mat removal can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or injuries (scratching, bleeding or HEMATOMAS due to trauma from itching or shaking head requiring veterinary attention), abrasions and failure of the hair to re-grow. This is completely out of the groomers control and can occur immediately, hours or even days after the mat removal. In some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes.
Pre Existing Conditions & Senior Dogs
It is important to understand that on occasion grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming. Such pre-existing conditions include, but are not limited to, allergies, matting, behavioral issues, bone or joint sensitivity, heart conditions, seizures, etc. Because senior pets and pets with health problems are at greater risk of stress and injury, these pets will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort, in styles that will not add to their stress. If any veterinary care in need we will contact you right away and will not proceed to our services. We also retain the right to turn away pets or end services at any time should we feel it is too much of a risk for either the dog or to our groomers. To prevent this as much as possible, please make sure to let me know about any health conditions (including medication) and behavioral issues before your appointment, and anything that arises after.
Proof of Vaccinations
we require all dogs being groomed to be current with their Rabies vaccination, and strongly recommend that they also be up to date on their Bordetella and DHLPP vaccinations as well.

Fleas, Ticks & Lice
If fleas, ticks, and/or lice are found on your pet during the grooming process, you will be contacted to pick up your pet immediately. A grooming appointment can be rescheduled after your dog has been cleared by a vet.

Late Cancelations / No Shows
It’s very important that the client show up on time for scheduled grooming appointments. If for any reason you won't be able to show up for your scheduled appointment we require a 24 hour notice to cancel or reschedule. If the client does not call to cancel or reschedule, the client agrees to pay the $25 NO SHOW FEE added to the clients account. To compensate the pet groomer for the loss of income ( Less than a 24 hour cancellation or no-show does not give the pet grooming facility enough time to schedule another pet. The $25 is compensation for time lost).
